Arum dioscoridis philistaeum

A rare Turkish form of the species.

Strong growing with attractive, glossy foliage and large spathes, with a solid, self-coloured purple-black velvet interior where the blotches have merged. The spadix is also black.

A showy plant, sharing some characters with A. palaestinum.
