This is raised here from a stock first found on Crete some years ago, indeed even before the status and names had been worked out. A good strain for gardens but not clonal. This is no way detracts from what is a lovely, chrome yellow flowered autumn bulb.
Does well in a sunny, well-drained spot with a warm, dry summer rest. As with some other species and forms, planting at the base of a south-facing wall is a classic suggestion and is an ideal place to put them to ensure flowering.
Due to permit costs of approx. £60 per item imposed by the UK Government these are not available for customers in Norway, Switzerland, USA, etc.
