Allium subvillosum

In contrast to the many pink flowered Allium which exist this one is an almost startling white of great purity.

The flowers are thick petalled and held in an upright umbel on quite short stems. The intensity and clarity of the white is hard to over-stress and it contrasts superbly with the vivid yellow anthers.

Easy in a well-drained, hot site in full sun.
