Fritillaria armena

A dwarf species (with small bulbs) varying from 10-25cm tall with lovely glaucous foliage clustered around a short stem, below a deep garnet bell which shows red highlights in the sunshine.

Happy in the garden in a well drained but humus rich sunny spot or excellent in a pot under alpine glass and a quiet little charmer. March.
