Arisaema speciosum

Arisaema speciosum

The very large hood is deep red-brown strongly marked in white with a long, fat, tapering dark-purple spadix that hangs right out of the spathe and down to the ground.

The foliage consists of one or two great big leaves, each split into three, red-edged, leaflets. A striking, easy garden species from India, which has done well here for many years. Makes large tubers and old ones can be very big.
