Colchicum cupani AH.9707

AH.9707 Colchicum cupani AH.9707

A dwarf species, but strong enough to be grown in a choice spot outside.

Up to 11 rose-pink flowers per bulb, each with a tiny white star in the throat and contrasting black anthers with the narrow, glossy leaves in October. This stock has attractive prostrate foliage spreading around the flowers.

Ours is a particularly good robust form originally found in Sicily, on the lower slopes of Mt Etna, at 300-400 m.
